ACAPELLA

This song's journey began with a folk melody that I got in my head on a flight from Denver to Minneapolis. I quickly wrote down the melody, chords, and got a half-way decent voice recording of it. The following semester at Berklee, I took a course in Vocal Writing and took advantage of the opportunity to make an acapella arrangement with this melody using writing techniques I had learned in the class.
