BIG BAND

The big band section of my portfolio stands to serve a very important purpose--range. It's one thing to be able to write and produce songs that are relatively popular sounding in today's standards, but to write something musically interesting for a 17 piece big band is an entirely different set of skills. Jazz music has captivated, inspired, and informed my musical life from a very young age--especially music from the big band era. To be able to write a piece for big band was a dream come true for me, and something I'd love to continue doing in future projects. Featuring a beautiful trombone solo from Izzy Foster, here is my arrangement of "Stella by Starlight."
